Notice

Hey bros, this is just me warning you that if you ever talk to mom or dad about anything that i write on this blog i won't talk to you for a VERY long time.

that said now i can get on with the story of my very complicated life.
I skipped school today at the request of my mother. We went to the cities to visit a small liberal arts college by the name of Augsburg. It is awesome! the only thing wrong with the place is that it is in minnesota and the closest ski areas are afton alps and welch village. Arthur, Caleb or Seth if you happen to know of any small awesome liberal arts colleges in utah or colorado or washington for that matter, please notify me b/c i would really like to go to one and as much as mom wants me to stay close i really don't want to be away from the mountains. You are probably thinking, Why doesn't she just come to BYU? well i dont want to go to a huge college like that and there are too many mormons. Frankly i don't know how you handle it.

  1. Utah is full of Mormons but they aren't all mormony, I have a bunch of Hippy friends that would much rather be skiing than in class. I think that the hippy mormons are my favorite, they are usually pretty chill, like cool stuff, have good standards for themselves without setting standards for you. That said there are some smaller schools around, whether or not they are liberal arts or not we will have to check out. If you did go to Augsburg then I would be more likely to go to Mayo...although I sort of want to explore for a little while longer...and snowboard. I think I am going to order new bindings for Seth's costum today.

  2. Sweet! i love getting new gear! yeah we def. have to check out liberal arts colleges in utah b/c i really want a place like augsburg but to also be near fam. I think you should have some fun before you go to med school b/c no matter how much you like what you're doing there is no way it is as fun as riding or mountain biking or rock climbing or hiking or camping under the stars.

  4. Hey, you should look into Westminster College in Salt Lake. It's in the Sugarhouse neighborhood (which is by far one of the best places for young people to live in the city), is small, and even offers a winter ski semester that bases class times around ski time, so you can ski all the time and attend class afternoons, nights, weekends, etc. It's across the street from a place called Hobbitville that is an old private neighborhood with an urban legend history of being populated by small people. I've lived right by there for a couple years now and love the area. It has a high population of out-of-state students (read: non-momos)and has a super high caliber faculty. I think it's a private school, and is probably expensive, but I'm sure you can qualify for either some scholarships or financial aid or both. Good Luck.
